SUMMER TERM IN P2

As we near the end of this session, P2 thought that they would update you on what has been happening this term.

We have been working hard in our Maths lessons to learn about measure. We had fun using cubes to measure how long (tall) different people were.

We also practised our numeracy skills by completing the 100 square against the clock. We had to write really fast!!

In Science lessons we investigated the properties of magnets and tested different materials to see which ones were magnetic and which ones were not. We also found out that magnets have a North and a South pole and that opposite poles attract, but same poles repel.

As part of our Health lessons that also linked to Science, we found out how seeds grow into plants and how they need light and water to flourish. We had fun growing "cressheads" like this.

Hopefully these skills will help us with the whole school summer challenge to grow the tallest sunflower!

As part of our Technology/Topic lessons we made "rolling tigers." We then rolled them down a slope and recorded how far each person's tiger travelled.

Last week we wrote invites for our Teddy Bears' Picnic. Lots of teddy bears and other toys joined us at the feast. We all tucked into some snacks and juice and we had a brilliant time playing parachute games. Thankfully the sun shone throughout!
