Welcome to Primary 2’s first blog.
It was lovely to see so many of you at the Parents’ lunch and at the first Family Friday meeting.
We started the term by agreeing on the rights for our Class Charter. We made a “Superhero” display of these.
In Maths we have been busy learning about our numbers up to 20 and we love using our new smart panels for our number games.
We have also started to learn new phonics sounds that will help us with our reading and writing.
This term we have been finding out about the creatures that live in the sea. Sharks are our favourites and we made mini books about them. We also had lots of fun making hammerhead shark hats.
On our class wall we have lots of colourful fish that we painted using celery sticks to make the scale shapes.
In our writing lessons we have been trying to describe “A creature from the deep,” using lots of interesting words. Some of our stories are on our Star Writers' wall.
We love our sessions of Learning through play, in our open area, and we get to do a range of tasks that help us learn new skills and knowledge.
We hope you have enjoyed reading our first blog and we’ll update you again over the next few weeks.
Bye for now!
Wow, it looks liek you are having fun and I LOVE the fish in the underwater display.
