P2 have a very busy term ahead, with lots of new things to learn.
We have already started our first topic about Scotland and have found out lots of facts about our country. We made "flap" posters to display these. Everyone had lots of fun learning how to weave paper to make tartan patterns. For homework we had to learn a Scottish poem called My Doggie.

At the end of the month will be studying some facts about Japan as part of our International Week. We will also have a chance to brush up on our Spanish when the Spanish Mobile Library visits the school.

Later on in the term, we will be developing our technology skills by investigating paper strength and designing animal models that move.
In Science lessons we will find out about our five senses.

This term, in Maths, we will be learning how to multiply by 2, 5 and 10. We will also practise finding information from pictograms, bar charts, diagrams and tables.

"Quincy the Questioner" will be on hand to help us to develop our questioning skills in our Reciprocal Reading lessons, and we will also be learning about verbs in our Grammar lessons.

Phew! That's just some of the things we will be doing!

Have a fantastic 2018!
